Through this Political Education Teach-In and Knowledge Mobilizer Andrea will be going in-depth about the national landscape and terrains of police(ing) in schooling and educational spaces across so-called Canada. You will gain knowledge on the fundamentals that anchor policing-free schools and be introduced to the importance of shifting away from the school-to-prison pipeline metaphor and the need to take up the school–prison nexus framework. You will also build your knowledge on what Andrea calls the “Police-Free Schools Complex” and ultimately why the shift from police-free schools to policing-free schools is necessary.
