KNOW YOUR RIGHTS

POLICE IN SCHOOLS POCKETBOOK

Until all schooling and educational spaces are police free and we are collectively moving towards a Policing-Free Schools Canada we need to ensure that there are harm reduction methods and that includes knowing our rights when it comes to interactions with police in schooling spaces.

The British Columbia Civil Liberties Association (BCCLA) is a supporter of Policing-Free Schools and the National Campaign for a Policing-Free Schools Canada. Most recently, the BCCLA has developed a Know Your Rights Police in Schools Pocketbook,

BCCLA states that, "The Police in Schools Pocketbook is designed to empower students across Canada by providing information on their rights during interactions with police at school."
